Privacy Policy
The short version
Klipto is built local-first. Your clipboard history never leaves your Mac. The app has no account system, no cloud storage, and no analytics or telemetry.
The app
- Clipboard data. Everything you copy is stored in a local database on your Mac only. We cannot see, access, or transmit it. It is never uploaded anywhere.
- No telemetry. The app does not collect usage analytics or send diagnostic data.
- Updates. The app periodically checks our server for new versions (standard Sparkle update feed), which you can turn off in Settings. This request contains no personal data beyond what any HTTP request includes.
- License activation. Activation happens entirely offline on your Mac — the license key is verified locally, and no network request is made.
The website
- Waitlist / email. If you join our mailing list, we store your email address with our email provider solely to send you product updates. Unsubscribe anytime with one click.
- Purchases. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number.
- No ad tracking. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your email or purchase records by contacting us at hello@klipto.me. Clipboard data is under your control on your own device — deleting the app's data removes it entirely.

Website analytics
The Klipto app collects nothing: no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports, no counters. That does not change.
This website is a separate thing. It uses Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count visits. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not fingerprint you or track you across sites. What it records is aggregated: which pages were opened, which site referred you, rough country, browser and device type, and a few in-page actions such as pressing the download button. Your IP address is used momentarily to derive the country and is not stored. Because nothing is written to your device and no personal profile is built, no cookie banner is needed. Umami is GDPR- and CCPA-compliant.
Our host also keeps standard server access logs, as every web server does, and they are rotated automatically.
